Nini Expressions is dedicated to the making of Ecological Handcrafted Greeting Cards. Our cards are special and so is our story.

Since Dinora Arteaga, founder, was a little girl suffered witnessing all the destruction and injustices around her community and her country, El Salvador. Earthquakes, 16 years of civil war and gangs wiped out the economy leaving people without homes, food, jobs, or any means of support. Ever since then, have felt the need to help others, but did not know how.

Over the years had the opportunity to move to this great nation (USA) and work for families in New York City. Working for one of my best employer, who used to complain that there was nothing out of the ordinary, or special in the market for greeting cards, the same was true of other friends, who were always looking for something different. 

One day I receive a $100 as a birthday gift, from a good friend. That’s when decided to start the project Nini Expressions and create sustainable resources to improve the economic condition of single mothers and poor families in El Salvador, offering them a new and innovative way to generate income using our most abundant resource—wildflowers, without making a negative impact on the planet. With special techniques, without using chemicals to dry our materials, nor machines, or any kind of things that involve pollution we bring the most unique collection of greeting cards to the market. Nini Expressions is not the only card in the market that people can give, but it is the one that can make a difference by touching the hearts of your loved ones and your friends.

“Expressions with a Mission” is our motto, and Nini Expressions is committed to promoting social responsibility by empowering and inspiring our artisans. Using only scissors, glue, and natural materials they are able to create works of art that is reflected in our cards. The cards are unique because we use different kind of wild materials and a great variety of papers. Materials that mother earth give us in order to make great use of them.
